I'm starting to think BitView might never come back. The last time a revival went down briefly due to a hack and said "We'll be back soon!" it died. (It was Goodblox.)

Also even though BitView is down, I watch stuff and post my videos/animations on Newgrounds, Glomble, and FlashDojo, and on my website sometimes (i need to add my recent animations and art there...) [i also once posted a glomble link in a discord server and someone straight up said "yeah we're just making up social media now" im never glombling with the non-indieweb-enthusiasts again /lh 😭😭😭😭😭 (which tbh i find it to be like the top 100 funniest comments probably)]

[ Regarding your YT Recommended rant ] FINALLY someone said what i was thinking for a while I remember sometimes when I went on incognito mode on YouTube to view some video that I didnt want to go on my watch history [yeah ik you can just remove it but idc] and in incognito mode sometimes YouTube would recommend those politics/fearmongering/ragebait videos like with your experience... [but i dont even bother to view them] I just downloaded the Unhook extension so I would hide the recommended video sidebar so I dont have to see that shit. (those kinds of videos dont appear when im signed in, or at least they're much more tamer and rarer...) I think a good point you forgot to mention is that those politic/fearmongering videos were recommended on videos with essentially NO correlation to politics from what i hear. Also for a tip, I think in the settings for Invidious and NewPipe, there is an option to the hide recommended videos sidebar, so you can just see what REALLY matters [the video and comments, maybe even remove the comments if you dont care about those] and finally on a more positive note, your site is very nice, i saw a few of your new vids a while back, even though bitview has been dead for quite a while, i remember to check in to your site, and i respect that you actually take an action to go against something and quit YouTube instead of grumbling about it but continuing to doomscroll like everyone else xD and finally i guess either sorry or youre welcome for this longass comment

Hi again!! Can't comment on blogposts (unless I'm stupid, and you can...) so I decided to leave it here! Good on you for leaving YouTube if that's what's best for you and you disagree with the site's policies. I'm equally sick of YouTube (and other major social media branches for that matter) and their approaches to social issues and site changes, but I was never a 'content creator' beyond posting silly videos once every couple years. I'll try to remember to check your blog I have it bookmarked, anyway.
